Colors Bingo, a new TV game show gained failed ratings on TV Reviews. The show was Abhishek Bachchan's television debut. Despite the promos and campaigns done for the show the past month, the results still wasn’t good.
The TV reviews says that Colors Bingo is the worst, most ill-conceived poorly produced product-promo show ever on television. They saw that Amitabh Bachchan only delivered a few dialogues, his sidekick seemed to have no role but to randomly interrupt the game proceedings, plus random people keep standing up. Another sidekick they assigned was also irrelevant for the show.
The premiere episode acquired viewers with the Big B’s presence, although the Paa shtick kept repeating which made it appear exaggerated. The game is loaded up against the viewer/audience, with the celebrity guest standing to win over Rs. 25 lakhs while they can get only Rs. 1 lakh. Even if the celebrity wins, it doesn't do much for the viewers or the audience. Although Amitabh Bachchan gave his winnings away to charity to set as an example, there's still no assurance that other celebrities will do the same.
Reactions gathered online are mostly negative, saying that the show was boring and confusing. This resulted to people transferring to other channels with a show having some pretty good singers like Star Plus’ Music Ka Maha Muggabla, featuring Shah Rukh Khan.
Basing on the audience trend, Colors Bingo might not be able to sustain the first season but if some fans continue to follow it, then it might just give them the much needed momentum. Click here for more information.
